Three people,three lives in a dr's office waiting room.
There's the young teen girl with the swollen belly.
Not that long ago she was giggling with her girlfriends.
Not that long ago she was a child.
A child that had wandered in an adult world of sex,drugs,and chaos,
The new life growing inside her will be her salvation,her new beginning.
Her eyes study her companions.
First she sees the 60 something yr old man with a smoker's cough.
His face is cracked and worn.
His eyes tell stories of a hard life.
Callosed hands show the struggle.
Then there's the over-stressed mother with kids pulling from every side.
"Mommy..I want gum!" says the blonde little girl of about 4 with the angelic face.
"Mom,I want a new video game." whines the lanky boy of about 10 with the ninja turtles
tee shirt.
"Mommy,mommy..I gotta pee!" squirms the 2nd boy of about 5 with the big brown eyes
and mischevious grin.
She smiles as the boy does the "pee pee" dance.
Then her eyes lock with the mother of 3.
They see themselves in each other.
The mother sees her past.
A young ,scared pregnant girl about to embark on a new adventure.
The girl sees her future.
She sees the overwhelming responsibility and the unconditional love the mother has for her children.
The young girl rubs her belly as her heart swells.
Cough,cough,cough,echoes through the room.
Hmm,lung cancer maybe?
Three people,three lives-interracting for a moment in time.
